This course has been designed for administrators who are looking to identify, analyze, and evaluate the best practices in mathematics instruction in k-12 settings. Focus will be on the 5 Process Standards and the 5 Content Standards from the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM) Principles and Standards for School Mathematics. In addition, participants will understand the relevance of their own knowledge of mathematics and mathematics learning to their work as instructional leaders.
