Mentoring, Part 2 (Second Year Mentoring for Teachers)
This is a continuation of Mentoring, Part 1, which adds to the repertoire of skills and strategies introduced in Part 1. Formative assessment, analysis of student work, and self assessment of teacher development are some of the topics covered during this two-day workshop. Those enrolled for graduate credit to be issued in May 2011, must mentor a second year teacher during the 10-11 school year. Participants who have already taken Part 1 are encouraged to enroll in this course during the same school year so that they are prepared to help their new teacher develop as quickly as possible. Free for Lee/Ogle Schools; $150 for out of region cost.
